Hi my name is Sunya Akhter, this summer I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Nicaragua with Global Public Health Brigade chapter at Drexel University. Last year I traveled to Honduras on a Water Brigade, this was a life changing and eye opening experience, which has now inspired me to continue on with this organization and volunteer and empower under-resourced communities!
It has always been my passion to help others, this trip will not only allow me to help the underprivileged communities in Nicaragua, but would also open my eyes to different issues faced by other countries on a daily basis. With your help, I will achieve the goal of providing a health infrastructure along with providing these communities with the education they need to maintain healthy living conditions.
