Why Participate in the Internship?

From a 2012 Summer Intern-

Spending a whole month in Honduras working with Global Brigades and getting a glimpse of its long-term successes inspired me and brought me alive. share ideas, collaborate on new initiatives and strengthen leadership; to develop intercultural and
technical programmatic skills.

• The unique opportunity to see all aspects of our holistic model, to shadow staff and programs, and
to meet with community members in a more in-depth manner.

• To truly immerse yourself in country for an extended period of time; giving you the ability to
better get to know community members and their needs and to explore all brigade programs.
• To gain valuable job skills and academic experience that can help prepare you for graduate school
or a career in a related field.
