About
Tibetan Village Project is an non profit, non-political organization run solely by Tibetans. Tamdin Wangdu founded TVP in 2001.
TVP believes in promoting sustainable development, medical development and entrepreneurship while preserving the rich cultural heritage of Tibet.
The organization was founded in 2001 when Tamdin's father died after attempting, and failing, to make it to a health care clinic.
Tamdin's initial project of bringing health care to rural Tibet has grown into a multifaceted organization helping many villages in Tibet.
