I am very excited to provide dental care and education to individuals that may not have access or resources to receive it in the Dominican Republic this summer. While in the Dominican Republic for two weeks, I will be shadowing dentists, assisting them with procedures including extractions, cleanings, fillings, and radiology, managing a pharmacy, and presenting workshops to the community on dental care. I would love and appreciate it so much if you could help me out in any way possible! Every single dollar of contributions would indeed make a difference and help me in my endeavors to help others! The UC Berkeley chapter of Volunteers Around the World (VAW) consists of students that are enthusiastic and committed about addressing the health disparities that currently exists in developing countries. Through close collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organization, Volunteers Around the World, our club at Berkeley strives towards providing rural communities in developing countries access towards dental treatment and oral hygiene, nutritional and health education.
