Volunteer Activity Description

Start Date: Jun 2, 2016 12:00 AM
End Date: Jun 10, 2016 12:00 AM

UCL Global Brigades takes on an incredible adventure and embarks on the journey to change lives in Nicaragua. Our mission is to empower a community to access sufficient clean water through infrastructural development, water treatment, community leader training and education. Our team assists in implementing clean water systems to prevent water-related illnesses in communities with limited access to clean water.

The 2016 Water Brigade team aspires to do what every other volunteering scheme does and a lot more.

This year’s Brigade has a focus on exploiting the vast resources within the team and connections to execute a successful fundraising campaign.

In addition, the brigade aims to give responsibility to each and every member to make a tangible contribution to the group’s activities.

Brigaders were selected predominately based on their ability to bring creativity and diversity to the group. With this, we hope to ensure that all angles are covered.

The aim to help an under-resourced community is the group’s only core principal. The ultimate goal is to ensure this project is a memorable and humbling experience for everyone involved.
