Amber's Message

Thanks for stopping by my fundraising page!I am excited to share that I am once again volunteering on another medical mission trip, this time to Ghana, Africa from May 10-19th with UConn Medical Brigades. It is my goal to raise $3000, but any amount that can be contributed to my team is invaluable. You can donate directly on this site which is both convenient and secure. It is my passion to help others and I am grateful for the wonderful life-changing opportunities I have been given and I thank you all for your very generous contributions.

Volunteer Activity Description

Medical Brigade volunteers set up medical clinics in pre-identified communities to provide healthcare where access is limited. Each community receives a brigade every 3-4 months and between brigades the in-country team maintains relationships with the communities to provide follow-up and conducts community health worker trainings to empower local leaders to perpetuate a consistent level of healthcare.
