Hey Everyone,

Thanks for your interest in the Virginia Tech Medical Brigade journey that I will embarking on. From January the 3rd to the 9th, 2012, I will be in Honduras with hundreds of other college students helping serve the underprivileged populations! :)

If you look to the right of the page you'll see that my goal is $1,500. That total includes the project fee, meals, lodging, transportation, airfare, and the purchase of my passport. I appreciate any and all of the donations that I receive.

As an aspiring physician, I have been looking for a medical missions team that I could serve on for several years now, but any that I have come across range anywhere from $3,000-$5,000! I’m so excited to be serving on a Global Brigade because not only will I be traveling with my fellow HOKIES and meeting up with other students from colleges in the states, but I will also be working alongside physicians to treat those who have limited access. I have never been outside of the United States, so I’m very excited to be exposed to a different culture and from a medical standpoint, abnormalities and conditions that I would not be exposed to otherwise.

I will be applying to medical school in 2013, and for the reasons listed above, would love your support to further my education and experiences in the medical field while serving others. Next, enter the amount you wish to donate in the designated box, and choose to either pay by credit card, or E-check. If you pay with a credit card, a 3.5% transaction fee will be applied, if you pay from a checking account, 100% of your donation will be applied towards my fund with no extra fees.
