UConn Microfinance Brigade May 2013 Honduras

Anthony's Message

I love learning about other cultures and seeing how other people live. I want to use my talents to help people who are struggling escape from poverty and have an opportunity for a better future for their family. I'm leading a brigade to Honduras to provide rural farmers with better access to loans and saving.

Volunteer Activity Description

Fundraise with your Global Business Brigades chapter on campus to meet the minimum $1,500 USD annual chapter contribution.

The annual chapter contribution directly supports the Community Investment Fund, which enables year-round economic development in partner communities carried out by our local teams. The Community Investment Fund is a critical component to GB’s Sustainable Transition Plan. Once a partner community has met specific health and economic development goals and brigades are no longer necessary, GB transitions projects fully to the community and offers follow-up with our local staff.
