Passionate About:

I believe in healthcare as a human right. I am pursuing a major in Business Administration with a minor in Health, Medicine, and Society, and am currently on the pre-medical track. I have also always had an interest in global interaction, and would love for the chance to better understand how countries from all around the world can work together to achieve health equity for all through progress in fields such as healthcare, human rights, and education. I planning on taking classes in foreign policy and public health, because I am looking into a medical career infused with foreign policies and healthcare projects. Because of this, I strongly identify VAW\'s mission for medical community service and am thrilled to be a part of this revolutionary movement.

Volunteer Activity Description

Join the GT chapter as they lead a Medical Outreach trip to Albania this upcoming Summer! Volunteers will work in mobile medical clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more! If you’re interested in joining, contact us for more information!


VAW at GT will be opening up mobile medical clinics for local communities during their time in Albania.

One of the most exciting and important parts of volunteering with VAW is bringing medication to the less fortunate. In 2016, VAW treated over 35,000 patients and we aspire to treat over 45,000 in 2017. One of the things that make our mobile clinics unique is that we not only triage and diagnose patients, but also provide them with the basic medications needed. Fundraising for medications is a huge part of creating a successful mobile clinic to help the local communities with effective care.
