Passionate About:

I am passionate about making a difference. After volunteering in multiple underserved hospitals in west coast and east coast cities. I have come to realize that there are people who truely need the help more than those people in our back yard. Those who need the help in other countries do not have the resources or programs to even renovate or even sustain their way of life in the modern era. To help these people, who do not have the basic resources, would help develop these third world countries to make them more advanced and help bring them closer into the modern era. But above all, I want to be part of the revolution, to influence children that education is the key to success. To give my time to them would inspire them to give back to their communities and one day help their village prosper.

About Us

University City Pre-Meds is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. We work in remote, rural, and under-resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana who would otherwise have limited to no access to health care. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are provided access to healthcare and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends. nnIn conjunction with our Medical Program, Global Brigades also supports communities with economic development, sanitation and clean water projects, and uniquely implements these programs in a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably evolving to a relationship of impact monitoring.
