Passionate About:

I am a first-year aerospace engineering student attending CU Boulder with plans to minor in both Global Business and Spanish Culture. Growing up in San Diego CA exposed me to the vibrant Hispanic culture of that city, and sparked my interest into the latin cultures of Central and South America. Whilst attending university I am taking courses to minor in Spanish Culture and am using this amazing opportunity to travel to Peru to aid in that education. My involvement in this trip through Volunteers Around the World is derived from not only my need to serve the community, but also my curiosity in gaining a better understanding of, and expanding my perspective on the local culture and people.

Join the UC Boulder chapter as they lead a Medical Outreach Internship to Peru this upcoming Summer! interns will work in mobile medical clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more! If you’re interested in joining, contact us for more information!

VAW Global at UC Boulder will be opening up mobile medical clinics for local communities during their time in Peru.

One of the most exciting and important parts of interning with VAW Global is bringing medication to the less fortunate. In 2019, VAW Global treated over 35,000 patients and we aspire to treat over 45,000 in 2020. One of the things that make our mobile clinics unique is that we not only triage and diagnose patients, but also provide them with the basic medications needed. Fundraising for medications is a huge part of creating a successful mobile clinic to help the local communities with effective care.

**Note: airfare goal will be updated once flights are purchased, tentatively the week of [Flight Purchase January 10-23, 2022]
