Passionate About:

This July, I will be traveling to Honduras with an organization called Global Medical Brigades. On my upcoming brigade, I will be working hand-in-hand with physicians, physician assistants, midwives, dentists, pharmacists, and community members to provide direct medical care for patients in rural, underserved communities that otherwise would have no access to medical care. While our work will provide assistance to thousands of underserved men, women, and children--this is still barely scratching the surface of what we can do and we are working hard to bring even more aid to those who need it most.

In order to go, each individual needs to raise $1800 for medications needed for distribution, airfare, room and board, and transportation. Any amount raised over $1800 will cover more medications or go towards other volunteers in need of funding!

Please join me in supporting the work that I will be doing in Honduras. Any support you can give will make a tremendous difference! Please let me know if you have any questions about my trip. I appreciate all of your positive thoughts and support!

Volunteer Activity Message

Medical Brigades at Philadelphia University is a chapter of Global Brigades, the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. The Philadelphia University chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members annually. GMB develops sustainable health initiatives and provides relief where there is limited access to healthcare. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are treated and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends.
