I have some super exciting news to share with everyone! I have joined a group at Tarleton State University for the Volunteers Around the World Outreach Program, and this summer we are traveling to Peru! This particular outreach focuses on volunteering your time to help those who are not as fortunate and has a focus on veterinary medicine. As you all know I am currently a pre-veterinary animal science major and absolutely love any chance for a new experience within the field. While we are in Peru I will get the chance to serve with veterinarians spaying/neutering animals at a shelter, at a mobile clinic, a sanctuary, and even give back to the community by educating kids on the importance of veterinary care. This experience could set me apart from others when applying to veterinary school, help me to increase my knowledge in the field, and offer an exceptional opportunity to help others.
