I am a second year dental hygiene at UNC-Chapel hill. I have been selected to travel to Nicaragua in March 2016 for 9 days to provide Medical and Dental services to communities in need. As a future dental hygienist I think it is necessary to provide oral care to those who do not have the means to receive care otherwise. The goal of this trip is to not only provide care to these individuals but to leave them in a sustainable environment.. I am truly blessed to be in a position to help others.
