I am a first-year at Barnard College, interested in studying psychology. I was lucky to find dance at just three years old, as it was the most formidable part of my life growing up. My dance school taught me the importance of dance outreach and the beauty of sharing the art form.

On campus, I am involved with an organization called Movement Exchange that provides dance outreach to youth in New York City. This summer, I have the opportunity to attend their international exchange in Panama. Through the exchange, I will contribute to sustaining dance education for under-resourced communities, work with Panamanian instructors on dance pedagogy, and take dance classes with students at the University of Panama to build an international community through movement.
