In 2018, I answered a calling to pursue my passion for dance and movement. Today, I study dance at both Minnesota State University Mankato and the University of Minnesota in pursuit of a B.S. in dance with a minor in psychology. My area of study is Dance Movement Therapy and Counseling. I will graduate in the Fall of 2020 and will immediately enter graduate school.

Dance Movement Therapy is psychotherapeutic use of dance and movement to heal the body, mind, and soul due to the adverse effects of negative life situations and circumstances. It is both a mental health service and one of the many art therapies. I am passionate about working with but not limited to individuals (children/women) affected by trauma, military veteran experiencing PTSD, the older adult population with disabilities, autistic children and those suffering from eating disorders.
With that said, I am reaching out for monetary support in the amount of $1240 to cover expenses while in country serving children at risk in Panama through an international movement exchange program on December 14-21, 2019. We are dancers without borders and will enter both orphanages and schools to share not only the power of movement and dance to girl and boys of all ages but most importantly bring hope and love in a unique and powerful way.
