Hey Friends!!! I'm off to Honduras in February to assist local community members to build sustainable and preventative health infrastructure for 3 families in impoverished and remote areas as part of the Global Brigades organisation. It's a well known NGO with great transparency in terms of where funding comes from/goes to. The communities themselves apply for the assistance and all aspects are done hand in hand with the community. There's various chapters going down and it's a major and fully holistic project treating all aspects of disease and poverty; from dentistry, medical care, to putting in reliable, safe and sustainable water supplies, latrines, etc to help improve peoples standard of living.
