UCLA Medical Outreach Summer 2015 to the Dominican Republic

Vanessa's Message

I do not only want to provide medical services to the undeserved people of Guatemala, but I want to empower them through knowledge. I want to bring awareness about prevalent health issues that affect them and their community in order to improve their way of living.

Volunteer Activity Description

Join UCLA's Medical Outreach Chapter of VAW as we travel on a Medical Outreach trip to the Dominican Republic this upcoming September! Volunteers will work in mobile medical clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more!
