Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa Tse and I am currently a third year undergraduate student at UCSD. I am pursuing a B.S. in Management Science and a B.A. in International Business with a minor in Chinese Studies.

I will be participating in my first service trip to Panama with Movement Exchange, a dance service organization. The goal of the mission trip is to improve the lives of underserved children through dance.

I'm very excited about the opportunities that have been presented before me, but I have also been very stressed out financially since I am trying to pay for the trip by myself in addition to a study abroad trip this summer in order to avoid burdening my family financially.

I've been working and saving up all year for this trip because I am trying my best to pay a majority of the costs without help from my parents. I've been able to save enough to cover airfare for Panama, but I still need help paying for program costs. Because my parents are currently helping me pay for my tuition and housing, my goal is to avoid giving them more financial burden (while still trying to gain new experiences through travel and service).
