Fundraising Campaign Description

End Date: May 1, 2023 12:00 AM

Clayton High School partnered with the community of Cerro de Agua in Nicaragua during their Global STEM Squad in January 2023 and put into practice their STEM skills with our local staff into an Infrastructure design for Community Water Systems.

Through this fundraiser, Clayton High School students will be able to help implement their designed water project in the rural community of Cerro de Agua in Nicaragua.

Global STEM Squads mobilizes students abroad to improve access to clean water in rural under resourced communities through applying STEM skills. Volunteers work alongside local engineers to assess, design, and construct infrastructure projects that range from rainwater harvesters that supply drinking water for local schools to large scale community-wide water systems that pipe water directly into households. STEM Squads is a program of Global Brigades, a highly recognized international development organization that uniquely implements a Holistic Model that targets specific UN Sustainable Development goals within partner communities. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably transitioning to a relationship of impact monitoring.
