Fundraising Campaign Description

End Date: Jan 6, 2025 12:00 AM

Clayton High School partnered with the community of San Rafael, Choluteca in Honduras during their Global STEM Squad in October 2024 and put into practice their STEM skills with our local staff into an Infrastructure design for Community eco stoves and hygiene stations.

Through this fundraiser, Clayton High School students will be able to help implement the infrastructure designed in the community of San Rafael, Choluteca in Honduras.

Global STEM Squads mobilizes students abroad to improve access to clean water in rural under resourced communities through applying STEM skills. Volunteers work alongside local engineers to assess, design, and construct infrastructure projects that range from rainwater harvesters that supply drinking water for local schools to large-scale community-wide water systems that pipe water directly into households and public health infrastructures. STEM Squads is a program of Global Brigades, a highly recognized international development organization that uniquely implements a Holistic Model that targets specific UN Sustainable Development goals within partner communities. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably transitioning to a relationship of impact monitoring.
