Volunteer Activity Description

Start Date: Mar 11, 2018 5:45 PM
End Date: Mar 20, 2018 12:00 AM

VOLUNTEER MATCH-LOAIZA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
The school began in 1946 in a storehouse used as a traditional sugar mill lent by farmers. Later, the Costa Rican Electricity Institute donated the property where the current school was built. Since the school opened resources have become low. Loaiza Elementary School needs support with infrastructure and facilities that students use daily. The budget provided by the Ministry of Education is not enough to accomplish with projects of improvements.

GROUP CONTRIBUTION AND VOLUNTEER EFFORTS WILL GO TOWARDS:
- Constructing a handwashing station, preparing the area and installing.
- Painting an educational mural focused on healthy living.
- Building a recycling bin station.
