Denver South HS Global Medical Squads

Denver South HS Global Medical Squads - Global Medical Squad will participate in a medical clinic that will provide primary health care services to under-resourced communities with limited to no access to medical care. During the clinic, students will assist with intake, triage, shadow our physicians, provide education workshops, and help to distribute medicine in the pharmacy. In addition students will help build the capacity of community health workers on chronic illness screening techniques. Included in the program fee is a contribution that makes our medical clinics possible.

Dover High School Global Business Squads

Dover High School aims to inspire entrepreneurism and financial literacy abroad for youth in under-resourced communities. Our Squad helps create small businesses for partner schools to diversify funding and teach real-world business skills to their students. As volunteers, we mobilize abroad to provide start-up capital, financial literacy workshops, and create areas in community banks focused on child savings programs. Each of our student volunteers has a donation goal to help cover logistical expenses while abroad such as transport, local staff, meals, insurance, accommodations, but most important the year-round follow-up to our project by local staff to ensure the sustainability over time. Dr. Kelly's Impacto Global Squads

Dr.Kelly's Squad aims to transform under resourced schools abroad into inspiring learning spaces with improved educational outcomes. Our Squad travels abroad to provide in-class support and hands-on projects that improve learning environments, such as building computer labs and libraries, renovating classrooms, and improving outdoor recreational spaces. Each of our student volunteers has a donation goal to help cover logistical expenses while abroad such as transport, local staff, meals, insurance, accommodations, but most important the year-round follow-up to our project by local staff to ensure the sustainability over time. East Central HS is a chapter of Squads Abroad, a non-profit supporting sustainable development goals to improve health and education outcomes in partner communities abroad. Global Health Squads mobilize students to help improve health care access and sanitation infrastructure for children in under-resourced communities abroad. Projects include: mobile health clinics, building handwashing stations at schools and providing healthcare workshops for children. Global Health Squads is a program of Global Brigades, a highly recognized international development organization that uniquely implements a Holistic Model that targets specific UN Sustainable Development goals within partner communities. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably transitioning to a relationship of impact monitoring.
