I fell in love with dancing very young, and I continue to grow increasingly more passionate about it as I pursue a degree in dance. It is a unique art form that has provided me with the opportunities to take on different characters and tones as well as express my own personality. Dance is incredibly therapeutic, and it brings me such joy.

As a member of Movement Exchange (a student organization uniting movement and service), I have the opportunity to reach out to local communities and share the sense of joy and fulfillment that accompanies movement and dance. I am thankful to be travelling to Panama this May to dance with underprivileged youth in local schools and orphanages. It is amazing to have this chance to use movement and dance as a way to communicate with this community. I am eager to not only teach dance and share my own experiences but also to learn from the youth about their culture and traditions.
