This internship with VAW Global Health Alliances provides a rare opportunity to immerse myself in healthcare systems that are structured differently from what I know, offering invaluable insights into the unique challenges and successes of delivering care in low- and middle-income countries.
By working alongside local healthcare professionals in Vietnam, I will gain a deeper understanding of how healthcare operates at the community level and how various factors—like resource limitations, cultural practices, and public health infrastructure—shape the delivery of care.
