Hello! I am currently an Optometry resident at ICON Eyecare in Denver, Colorado. When I heard about the opportunity to go to Honduras to help provide eyecare, I jumped on the opportunity! Ever since I was in undergrad I have always wanted to go on a medical mission trip but the timing never worked out. I went on my first mission to Jamaica during Optometry school. As a 2nd year student, it was hard to keep in mind why I was putting myself through school with endless nights of studying and no patient interactions. Going to Jamaica was a great reminder on why I was going to Optometry school. I was surrounded by other medical providers with the same passion and drive to provide medical care to those that don't have it. Now that I am no longer a student, I can't wait to go to Honduras as an Optometrist.
